THEY HATE CHANGE BLATANT LOCALISM

Tampa rap duo They Hate Change take aim at rappers who flex wealth in videos on their new track ‘Blatant Localism’, the third single from their eagerly anticipated debut album Finally, New, due 13th of May on Jagjaguwar Records. Having met as teens the experimental pair started out as DJs in Tampa’s DIY scene, amassing a wealth of knowledge on all different kinds of genres, gradually graduated to beat making and rapping, on ‘Blatant Localism’ they mock tired rap cliches and celebrate their DIY roots: “Rather than flexing rented cars and rented jewellery, we’re talking vintage cameras and how we came up selling tapes at DIY shows.” They Hate Change make rap that is forward thinking, experimental and unafraid of change. - Toby Evans-Jesra
